onions with white skin
(they are sweeter) or red onions

sumac

handful parsley leaves

Instructions
Pull the slices apart so that the onion becomes strips
Place the slices in a bowl of cold water for about 10 minutes.
Strain and squeeze by hand to get rid of the water
Add salt and sumac and mix well by hand.
Add parsley leaves and serve alongside grilled food or lahmacun.
